Can a 10 year old child get breast cancer?

One nipple is introverted and has several bead like bumps behind and around the immediate area of the nipple.

Well, it would be so rare, were it cancer, that she would probably make it into the top medical journals, but that would not be very likely. More likely first signs of puberty with an inverted nipple. For reassurance, it would not hurt to have her checked.

I had to roll my eyes at the answer that breasts are only fatty tissue above. Where on earth does he (I can only assume it is male) think that milk comes from? Or breast cancer, for that matter? Breast cancers are not liposarcomas. And has he never *felt* one?

Go to a doctor. Anyone can theoretically get breast cancer even without breasts

You can get any type of cancer at any age. Have the child checked asp.

I have the same thing on 1 nipple and I am 36. I don't have cancer, but that doesn't mean your 10 yr. old doesn't. Go to the doctor.

i would go to the doctor but i dont think it is breast cancer. and yes, anyone can get it, however it is a lot less common in a child

Although it is rare, a 10 year old could get breast cancer. After all breasts are just fatty tissue. Men even get breast cancer, if your concerned get the kid to a doctor,,,they can give you a better answer. Good luck

Yes. Any age person can get cancer. It's probably something milder, but take the child to the doctor to be sure. The sooner the better.

well, that sounds normal to me, but she does have lymphnodes, and those can become cancerous, i suppose! you could always make an appt with the doc, but it sounds similar to how i was right up until i produced milk!

Male or female child? Some females start blossoming earlier that others. Which either sex the child is I would consult your physican and take his advice. He may want to do a mammogram.

sure you can get a tumour anywhere on your body, take her to the doctor before its too late
