My boyfriend had cancer as a child...??

He had an operation and had the tumour removed... Is it possible to still be cancer cells in his body incase I get pregnant....will it spread??? It was about 23 years ago that he had the op... Im woried that if i get pregnant, the cancer can still spread???? HELP???

Cancer isn't a sexually transmitted disease. Don't you think you should talk to your boyfriend about this issue?

im sure hes fine.

YOU CANT PASS ON CANCER LIKE A STD!!!!

Dont worry - the cancer is gone and no cells would remain. If they hadnt killed off all the cancer the cells would have multiplied and killed your husband by now. Go ahead and have a baby without fear. If in doubt have a chat to your doctor for a better more detailed explanation xxxxxxxx

Its possible for cancer cells to remain in the body after removal of a tumour. After 23 years his risk is considerably low. I assume he gets regular testing though?
Cancer is not contagious! He cannot transmit cancer to you or your baby!
Please talk to your boyfriend and your doctor about this!

You are worrying about nothing!

There are many forms of Cancer and if he still had it - the blood tests he will have had done will show it - after 23 years - you are losing sleep and worrying for no reason!

You should go to a specialist and ask if this can be hereditary as far as I know in some case it may affect the children but for you safety go to a doctor and ask.

Do not worry now he is safe, if you worry about him tell him to try Reflexology and homoeopathy to gather will help you and him many ways.

Cancer cannot spread from person to person. It is not a virus, bacteria or fungus. Cancer is when a persons own cells multiply uncontrollably to form a tumour. When cancer spreads in ones own body from organ to organ it is because some of those 'problem' cells travel in the blood stream to another part of the body.

NOT TO WORRY. A CANCER DOES NOT REMAIN DORMANT THAT LONG. WHAT HAS YOU GETTING PREGNANT GOT TO DO WITH IS PAST MALIGNANCY?

are you actually being serious??do you honestly think cancer cells can be passed on through bodily fluids??

Good heavens. Would you do your research, Please! Think back to elementary school science. CANCER IS NOT CONTAGIOUS NOR IS IT AN STD.

If you all plan to have a family I would recommend your boyfriend going in for a sperm count. The chemo he had as a child could very well prevent him from having children.

He is fine, no risk to you or future babes!
