Can your child be born with any type of cancer???? |
Or how old should you and or child be tested?? look don't freak out right away. there has to be certain symptoms first off. then you take him to their regular doctor and if they thinks there is concern they run blood test to see if anything is going on. They can do this at any age. if there is signs they will find it. good luck and lets hope all is OK. But see a doctor first and foremost unfortunately they can and we really don't know how to tell You can have cancer at any stage that cells are dividing, which is any stage of life, even in utero. So, yes, an infant can be born with cancer. Or are you speaking more in terms of genetics when you say "born with"? You may have genetic tendencies that can predispose you to developing certain types of cancers, but it's never 100% predictive. Most healthy people are not routinely tested for cancer unless there is a sign or symptom that might signal its presence. You can have certain genetic counseling and tests to see if there are any predispositions. Is there a particular reason for your concern? Is there a family history or are you having any worrisome signs and symptoms? yes yes babies are people to. i think if yor worried about this you should talk to your docter they are gonna no all the different cancers from bone cancer to skin cancer etc.. so they will say if you have anything to worry about if its a genetic cancer which only about 5% are the chances of the offspring of having cancer are 200 to 300 times greater. |
