If your mom had cancer will i get if i am the second child?

Keep you blood alkaline rather than acidic and your chances of getting cancer is very low. Check some of the web sites concerning alkaline vs acidic and you will find tons of information on it.

Birth order has no bearing on whether or not the offspring of a person with cancer will get it. While some cancers are believed to have genetic ties, environment, habits, and diet appear to have a lot to do with getting cancer. If you take care of yourself, then that could reduce your chances of getting cancer, but unfortunately, there is no surefire way to prevent it.

well, it depends on alot of things...such as heredity, environmental, the pesticides in the foods we eat. since i don't know what "type" she has it is hard to tell...a good preventative measure is see your doctor for the regular check ups so he can evaluate your individual situation...Good luck to you!!!

You're asking for a prediction of the future. I think what you really want to know is how likely is it that you will have cancer. A lot of this depends on whether other blood-related family members have had it and how you manage your own health and life-style. Sometimes cancer seems to run in families but it's no guarantee that any specific family member will also have it regardless of birth order. And, due to many often controllable factors, a person could be the first and only family member to ever have it. Life is unpredictable. The best thing you can do is to try to live a healthy life and make every day count.

One of the cause for cancer is hereditory

The good thing about cancer is that very few cancers are genetically passed on from parents to children. It of course depends on what kind of cancer your mom had. There are genes for breast cancer, lynch syndrome and few others. You have to check your family history, for example:-see if more than 3 women in your close family (grandma, mom, sister, aunt..)had breast cancer, because that would mean you probably carry the gene for breast cancer and your chance of getting cancer increases greatly, -high occurance of ovarian, breast, eye (on both organs)... The best thing you can do is check your family history and if you feel you may have greater risk due to that, you can always consult your doctor and he/she will give you some options (genetic counsling+test, life style changes...)
