I had two cysts removed and tests came back benign does that mean i had cancer?

"Benign" means "not cancerous". It does NOT mean cancer but not harmful cancer like someone else said. Benign means that there is no cancer present. Sometimes surgery may be required for health or cosmetic reasons though. Please may sure you continue to see your doctor regularly, and next time he/she goes over test results with you make sure you understand the results. You are the best advocate for your own health and you can't do that if you don't know what is going on. Take care of yourself!

Benign means no cancer!

No. Ofcourse not! You are absolutely cancer-free.

Benign is a type of cancer but you should'nt worry about it. Its Malignant cancer you need to worry about.

Benign means no cancer,
Malignant is the word they use when the cysts are cancerous.
I'm really surprised your Dr. didn't explain the test results to you.

Hi, don't be worried, BENIGN, means NOt cancer

Benign means not harmful. So, no cancer.

No cancer and congratulations!!

Benign does NOT mean no cancer, it means the cancer you had was nonlethal. Benign is a word a lot of people mistake as meaning noncancerous, when in actuality it means nonharmful cancer.

The term "benign" refers to a condition, tumor, or growth that is NOT cancerous. This means that it does not spread to other parts of the body or invade and destroy nearby tissue. Benign tumors usually grow slowly.

In general, a benign tumor or condition is not harmful. However, this is not always the case. If a benign tumor is big enough, its size and weight can press on nearby blood vessels, nerves, or organs, or otherwise cause problems
