Benign nodules?

Hello. They took an ultrasound of my breasts two days ago resulting in two benign nodules in my left breast. The doctor who read the results told me to have them removed and get a biopsy to see if they actually are benign or malignant. This is freaking me out, i'm getting married in april and i'm so scared. Could benign nodules develop breast cancer?

Benign nodules no, but benign nodules can contain precancerous cells or can be misdiagnosed. That is why your doc is suggesting to have them removed and biopsied to make sure. It's much better to be safe than sorry. I have had to have several biopsies done on my breasts because of benign tumors. It is done as an out patient and your breast will be mighty sor for a little while but it's not that big of a deal to get it done. Just have it done to make sure everything is ok.

ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE
HAVE THEM BIOPSIED
NOW YOU'LL FIND OUT IF
YOUR FIANCE IS A MAN OR
A PRICK.

HI, CALM DOWN, GO GET A SECOND OPINON. YOU WILL BE FINE, PERCENTAGES ARE ON YOUR SIDE WHEN YOUR YOUNG. THINK POSITIVE AND TAKE XANAX WHILE YOU ARE WAITING FOR THE DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENT. IT WILL BE FINE.

Biopsy are done to rule out any possibility of malignancy...If the radiologist think it is benign, they are more than likely right...Now a day the ultrasounds are so high tech that they can determine whether the mass is solid or not... then whether it has atypical features, not necessary cancer potential...Your doctor is probably just siding to the side of cautious to rule out any possibility of malignancy...It is better to know the answer, than to left guessing and wondering whether it is or not...It may be scary but knowing the results will lift the weight of your shoulder...
