Anyone ever had a benign breast lump? |
hi.i will be 26 tommorow.5 years ago i had a fibroadenoma removed.2 months ago another one reoccured on the same breast.the doctor said its another fibroadenoma with no cancer.nothing to worry about.i have been told to come in 6 months.BUt mt life is in a mess right now.i leave in fear,i barely eat.i am scared i may end up with cancer one day.PLease if you know anyone who has had this or if you have it kindly contact me.your experience and encouragement i will appreciate.i am living in somuch fear.i spend 3hrs on the internet daily reading about breast lumps.my fathers sister is about 60 and just had breast cancer I have one right now. I had surgery to have a duct removed but the lump never went away and the bloody discharge continued so another biopsy was done. Those results also said no cancer. I was extremely nervous (and still am in the back of my mind), I think I became a cancer phobic when it all started, lol. The majority of these, as you know from reading so much, are benign so try not to worry (it won't change anything, only add stress and that's not good for your body). Good luck! My mother has had two benign lumps removed from her breasts. So long as you keep a close watch on things and see your doc as ordered your should be fine. I have had a fibroadenoma for over five years. It has done nothing. The internet is full of the worst-case scenarios, don't let them scare you! Mine has just laid there contentedly for many years. Normally, with breast lumps you should first consider family history of breast cancer, age of onset, and factors like movability of the lump, soft or hard, etc. First, having a fibroadenoma does not increase your risk of breast cancer. |
