My mom had her first mammogram ...please help? |
okay i am 17 and just had my baby a week ago...after i got out of the hosp. my mom told me she just got her first mammogram...and they seen spots on each breasts...my mom said there were 5 or 6 on each breasts on the x rays and that most were perfect circles and a few of them werent perfectly round...she is only 40...and she has been getting her breasts examined by the dr...just 2 weeks ago and hasnt had any lumps....i know that these spots could be benign cysts but they could be cancer also...someone please help me...i love my mom sooo much and i cant stop worrying about her...i keep thinking what if its cancer...and she has had it for a long time and what if its spread to a lot of her body...already...someone please help me and give me ur opinion i know nothing hardly about this and my mom doesnt either...we are both worried to death and cant get any sleep cause we are up crying all nite...she wont get the results for a week or 2...so please give us ur opinions in the mean time...TY I know how you feel my aunt died from cancer, but she had 5 differnt cases of cancer and also breast cancer, but if it is brest cancer dont worry about your mom, because if 2 weeks ago it wasnt there and there arnt any lumps they can get it with out it hurting her. so dont worry and just be there for your mom being worried will only make her upset. i don't know about this either but im sure it is nothing god bless! Hugs to you Sara for being so concerned with your mom's health! You shouldn't worry, you need to care for that baby of yours, your mom will be in good hands with her physicians and they will make sure she is alright! Spots on a mammogram are no death sentence! Neither is breast cancer, but only the doctors can determine what it is and the best action of treatment! It's good that you both have talked, and cried together. Now what you two need is some serious laughing time! just pray all through the day and all through the night and go to cuhrch as often as possible andif they have a picture room of the people in most need of care put her pic there it wil hlp good luc and god bless you and your mom calm down, hormone changes also produce lumps which can come and go, your mom seems to take her health seriously and that's a good thing, thus mammogram, unless she has discharge from nipples, ie blood fluid ect. if something is suspicious everything will be ok, and her concern could have saved her life, so relax it's going to be ok! |
