told it was a polyp,surgery1 benign,4months later surgery2 benign,4months later 3rd op benign,2months later 4th op benign,2months later tumour removed cancer, should this have been detected earlier ops or is this tumour rare.was it a polyp at start or a tumour.after tretment came back is there any treatment anywhere in world to clear this tumour. Sarcoma is rare and should always be treated by a sarcoma specialist. Ordinary physicians and even many oncologists are not familiar with this cancer. You describe a classic example of recurrent sarcoma. It just keeps coming back. There is no way to tell now if the first few polyps were benign or malignant . . they could have been pre-cancer and just developed over time. I think you detected this pretty early, which is a good thing. And, yes, there is treatment.
Suggest that you go for a second opinion at a Sarcoma Center or look for a sarcoma specialist to assist you with this. You can visit the Sarcoma Alliance website for more information:

You may want a second opinion about the sarcoma type also to make sure you have the exact name of the tumor. There are about 50 or more types and subtypes of sarcoma, and all of them are relatively rare. I think the word 'spindle cell' is a description of the cell and may not be the name of the specific type of sarcoma that you have. Try to find out as this is important in terms of treatment options.
