Question about cancer medicine?

My little sister has just been diagnosed with terminal cancer and I am going mad! Doctors say chemotherapy can't do anything for her now but I can't just stand there and watch her go! So i looked everytwhere for alternative therapies and on yahoo health was an ad about some cancer drugs you can take without a prescription. I also remeber that drug was somewhat expensive, but had no side effects like chemo does. I lost the link and I can't find it now. Please, does anyone have info about that drug? Any help would be appreciated!!

Listen! The doctors told my mom's friend that she would never make it, the cancer had spread all over her body! My mom brought her esparagus and kale EVERYDAY and took her for walks! You must be talking about herbal supplements which are not FDA (fda.gov) approved.

I hope that your sister will get a second opinion from a reliable cancer treatment center. There is always hope. I wouldn't consider these over-the-counter supplements. There is no clinical evidence that they do anything.

I work in the prescription drug field--but not for a pharmaceutical company, so I'm not trying to line my pockets with money. Just stating facts.

This is terrible. Where do you live? There are alternative clinics that work miracles sometimes.

That said, the most successful alternative cancer treatment over the years has been essiac. It is available at virtually every health food store.

No! Those drugs are generally only designed for one thing: to make money off desperate people! Save your money and spare your sister the additional health risk that comes from taking strange coctails that are just painkiller mashups anyway.

Here's what you can do instead:
- help your sister eliminate stress and negative influences from her life, it's the most important step to prolong life expectancy
- consult other doctors if you have the feeling that something might have been missed (or if you have just talked to a single one so far)
- ask your doctor about alternative and experimental treatments. It can be risky and those programmes are difficult to get into - but if you're extremely lucky, you can experience a treatment method that's 10 years ahead of its time!

Most importantly: you both have to stay positive. While it's very likely that there won't be any last minute rescue, it's important that you realize how to make the best of the time that is left.

anzwerrorz is right, most alternative/herbal remedies for cancer are simply traps that take advantage of people in unfortunate situations. anybody can put anything into a bottle and sell it and call it an "herbal remedy" as long as they put the disclaimer that it is not approved/regulated by the FDA. most people who get better with herbal treatments simply do so by luck, not because the stuff actually works.


if you want to explore alternative stuff, make sure your doctor knows she is taking it as some of them can cause interactions with real drugs, and dont stop conventional therapy in favor of alternative treatments. it is possible she could get lucky and survive for many years.

I had a friend whose father had liver cancer.

Initially he was undergoing chemo until he heard about this product called HUNZA.

there is this book that is called 'cures they don't want you to know about' by Kevin Trudeau, he says there are cures to cancer and all diseases without expensive medication...i might have his name wrong, because i don't have the book with me right now to look it up, but i will get back to you...in the meantime look this book up on the net and at your local library, i am sure of the title, if i were you i would ask God to help me and give me strength...i always pray about everything and it works, honestly! good luck
