I ate something that made me sick. What do I most likely have?

My boyfriend made some soup on Friday evening and I was fine until Saturday morning when I was at work. Suddenly, I developed liquid diarrhea over and over again. Finally, here it is Monday afternoon and the diarrhea has stopped (i think). I did not vomit, I never ran a fever or had a stomach ache. I did feel bloated yesterday and never really lost my appetite too bad. I probably had between 8 and 10 diarrhea stools daily for 2 days.
Do you know anything about this. Could I have gotten something like campylobacter, e coli, or salmonella. I think one of these causes diarrhea without vomiting.
He fixed some type of bean soup with some ham in it (who knows how old it was sitting in the fridge or what else was in it, or how old the ham) I am not sure what all was in the soup. He has some diarrhea too.
I have a raw butt and am very weak now. I remember having a pt about 5 years ago who had campylobacter and she did the same thing with no emesis.
Do you know anything about

get some gatoraid and vitamins it will take a day or two.

Either food poison or food allergy. Go see a doctor!

You are sick, dear. Go to the doctor. And make sure you get fluids. With diarrhea like this you're going to be very dehydrated, and your boyfriend needs fluids and the doctor too.

Maybe it was the ham? Ham is pretty greasy and mixed with the beans, that's a lot of protein that you may not be used to consuming. Your body could have been like: "Oh man, what's with all this protein? FLUSH!"

usually it takes longer for food borne bacteria to multiply to levels in your system that will cause symptoms like that. more like 24 hours. also...you would be vomiting if you had food poisoning. you would have projectile vomiting and diarrhea at the same time. i'm serious. you'd want to die. most likely you either a) ate something that didn't really agree with you, maybe something too rich etc... or b) you had a touch of something, maybe the flu. or c) the food wasn't good (spoiled) but was not infested with something as serious as e-coli or salmonella. there's a difference. i think you'll be okay.

Sounds like food poisoning,I suggest a dcotor asap. Good luck.

Your going through an upset stomach. ANd thats normal its a way for your body to let you know that the food contained something that the body rejected, it can also be that your body is not accustomed to whatever you ate. I highly doubt that you may have anything serious, due to the fact that their is no vomitting nor blood coming out of the body nor you have had any convulsions or anything serious like ive mentioned.
First and foremost hydrate your body. give back to your body what its letting go. Drink gatorade to help you hydrate and eat nothing big. Stick with soup (not from your bf) or anything small. ok?

lets just face it...its food poisoning...dont jump the gun and yell at your bf just yet...it happens all the time...the things we put in our bodies can sometimes not agree. you might like it for the taste but your body doesnt. the first time you have diarrhea try to invest your money in Imodium Advanced with Simethicone might help. It works for me... Heres a tip: Try to be more cautious in eating foods...dont eat things that are sitting out for awhile...Theres a rule about chicken my friend says if its been out for more than a hour its bad and thats the way i feel too. Thats to avoid this problem. I'm sure your bf was wanting to provide you something nice to eat but you got sick and he got sick. If Imodium doesnt help my dear go to the dr and he will give something stronger to clear it up. Medications cause diarrhea too you know. The way we prepare food is essential too. We need to wash our hands and you are right about salmonella. Its critical to wash and keep clean. Next time, watch what you eat. Temperatures are a big factor in food. Take Care....
