okay so the doctor from my school told me that i don't have enought calcium ... i don't really get it because i drink like 3 glaces of milk every day ... that beeing like 550 ml . Ariel i like typing like that the questions so if you don't like it ignore it! 550ml is about two cups of milk. 1 cup of milk has 30% of your daily calcium. 550ml has about 60%. cheese has 20% per ounce. Thats 1/4 cup of shredded cheese or 28 grams. thick slices of cheese are 1 ounce and american cheese is usually fortified to have more calcuim since one slice is less than one ounce. It is very important for teens to get enough calcium. Getting enough calcium in your teen years will reduce your risk for osteoporosis when you are an adult. If you need more calcium, its mainly in yoghurts, cheese, milk, ice cream! take calcium tablets. You do not get enough of calcium in milk and with all the junk like hormones and antibiotics found in milk, it prob defeats the purpose. Take calcium supplents plz. |
