Maximum of Calcium and other vitamins?

I take two calcium pills a day that have 350mg calcium, 175mg magnesium and 100 IU of vitamin D3. I take this along with two glucosamine pills a day for my arthritus. Lately I've been working on losing weight so am taking some apple cidar vinegar vitamins and some green tea ones as well, and I was told to up my calcium intake. Is it safe to go any higher than the 700mg I am already taking a day? I have been using vitamins to help me as I have a killer slow metabolism, to this I also do hard cardo three times a week for an hour {neurologist suggested this for a constant headache I have} I also walk an hour five days a week, and watch what I eat. Just wondering about the calcium pills now. Thanks for any help you can give me! :)

Depending on how much calcium you are getting from your diet, you would then only have to supplement enough to reach or exceed your recommended daily intake levels. Studies show that the average adult gets 600 - 700 mg of calcium per day from food.

I use a tool called a Bone Health Calculator to compare my intake levels of calcium, magnesium and vitamin k to the recommended daily intake levels. This tool can be found at http://www.algaecal.com/bone-health-calc...

The website has quite a bit of info on bone health, if you sign up for the newsletter they will give you a bone health recipes ebook. A pack of recipes that are high in calcium and magnesium. Not bad, because you can unsubscribe right after downloading the ebook if you don't want the newsletter.

It is good that you are taking magnesium and vitamin d3 along with your calcium. If you do not spend much time in the sun, you may want to consider taking a higher dosage of vitamin d3

I found this handy website..

"The recommended daily amount of calcium required, in the U.S. and Canada, for most people are:

The amount of calcium that you need may be adjusted by your clinician based on your personal health. "

You might want to check out the website. There was other information regarding calcium on there as well, such as the different foods that contain it, as well as the mixing of certain medications and calcium. I highly recommend you read it being that you already take quite the assortment of suppliments and meds. Good luck!
