Kicking caffeine... :(?

I have been trying to lose some weight playing basketball at the gym and have met with a bit of success-15 pounds since February while still eating whatever I want and having alot of fun doing it.

The problem is that the only way I have enough energy to keep up with the people I play with- they're all in pretty good shape- is because of caffeine. For a while I was drinking Rock Star No Carb energy drinks and then that was too expensive- $2.50 every day- so I started taking Excedrin Extra Strength even though I wasn't in any pain, just for the caffeine that was in it.

Last week I kinda recognized that maybe I have a problem, so I decided to kick caffeine and it SUCKS. My calves cramp up while I'm playing ball now, its painful and makes it all alot less fun.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of the cramps? And maybe a good, healthy way to get an energy boost so I can play basketball?

You can also get extra natural energy by taking an iron supplement.

Just be careful about the total dosage going into your body from other sources such as vitamins. Too much iron isn't good for you.

switch your caffeine to

ONE A DAY with ENERGY VITAMINS.

It liks drinking an energy drink or caffenie but you do need to get off those drinks..they dehydrate you which causes the cramps. and by taking the vitamin instead you are avoiding taking in all those calories from the drinks and in turn will help you loose extra weight.

cramps are breathing related. I would also kick the caffeine. Your diet probably needs adjusting as well as some working out to help build your stamina.

I used extra strength excedrine to kick coffee every morning. I used it for a week or so, until I quit having headaches.
For leg cramps, I take a Potassium supplement, one pill when I get a cramp. Don't overdo them.

Stop OBSESSING about the EXERCISE and SUCCEEDING at the sport... and FOCUS MORE... on the PLAY aspect of it...

Also, CRAMPS are a SIGN of DEHYDRATION... and CAFFEINE DEHYDRATES YOU... and, it'll TAKE A WHILE... until, ALL OF THAT CAFFEINE, SELENIUM, CHROMIUM, and TAURINE... are OUT OF YOUR SYSTEM!!!

so, DRINK MORE WATER... not GATORADE... but, PLAIN, SIMPLE, WATER... and, it'll FLUSH OUT YOUR SYSTEM!!!

I would suggest you go to this website www.drinkact.com/crski
