Caffeine and weight loss?

I drink a cup of earl grey tea every morning and am aware of my caffeine addiction (I get headaches if I don't have a cup.) I don't exercise as much as a should but am trying to shed some pounds by changing my diet. Will the caffeine inhibit that?

No. Just make sure you're getting enough plain water. Some say 8-10 glasses a day. Others say 1/2 your body weight in ounces for weight loss. That's the number I feel better at, but it doesn't improve weight loss until I go above 1/2 my body weight in ounces.

one cup of tea a day isnt even a lot of caffein and shouldnt effect weight loss

Technically, caffeine is a stimulant and a diuretic so it will make you lose temporary water weight and speed up your metabolism (until you crash, that is)

No, but caffeine is a diuretic so make sure to drink plenty of water.
