Caffeine or water?

why do doctors say you get more energy from water rather than caffeine? I am so sluggish with out che caffeine during the day and I only have about 300 mg a day when I try to stop and drink water I just feel sluggish and can't get much accomplished.

because caffeine will eventually cause you to "crash"
your body needs water to digest proteins & other "natural" energies correctly.

Want both? Try Water Joe at www.waterjoe.com! Report It

so have a cup of coffee to get you going and then drink lots of water throughout the day....your body will adjust to the change in a little time and you will feel better

water cleans/flushes your body, and is a natural enegy booster, water makes up a great portion of your body fluid, water keeps your body working properly as well. So, stay away from caffieine, and check out the link below.
Take care.

one thing for sure, caffeine hurts your LIVER

Your energy hit from the caffeine is only temporary, as caffeine doesn't add give you energy it takes away energy, this is the reason you feel sluggish again soon after the hits worn off. Try 2litres of a water a day for 3 days & i bet you start to feel the benifits, i did!

It's actually not the caffeine that makes you wake up. Eventually, you will wake up anyway. Caffeine however, blocks the absorbtion of important vitamins and minerals. And it is dehydrating. Water stimulates your body, acts as a hydrating agent, and has vitamins in it. Alot of it too, is probably psychological. If it's truly the caffeine, that you have to have, then you would think a pepsi or coke would give you the same benefit. But it doesn't. Don't worry though. A couple cups of joe a day are fine. Just be sure to drink plenty of hydrating fluids through out the day. Your skin will be healthier and so will your insides.
