CT and X-Ray scans question?

What are the side effects on the body from exposing to CT and X-Ray scans?

Exposure to x-rays causes biological damage to our cells at the molecular level. Some organs are affected more than others. It is an accumulative effect over time so you should limit your exposure and weigh the benefits vs risks. CT scans do expose you to a higher level of radiation but the slices are thin with minimal overlapping. As far as we know, the biological ill effects of MRI are non-existent.

I'm an EMT and as far as I know, I haven't heard of any effects from MRI or CT. Now X-ray can have an effect on pregnant women, the baby in side, and can make both men and women sterile after repeated prolonged exposure.
