Abnormal CT scan? |
Hi everyone, Aww don't worry. The shadow on your uterus could have been anything. If you moved at all even 1/4" during the procedure it could cause a shadow on the films. If your ultrasound came out normal I'm sure it's nothing. Your doctor probably wants you to keep your follow-up appointment because you are having discomfort, and although the ultrasound came back normal, there's obviously something causing your symptoms, and he probably just wants to explain the CT-scan shadow, go over the ultrasound in depth, and try getting to the bottom of your discomfort. Try not to stress out, it may actually make your abdominal discomfort worse. Hope this helps! Good Luck! :-) Calm down! If your doctor said that it was nothing, then most likely it is nothing. There are many things that will present as a shadow on a CT scan. For instance, Gas, cysts (common in many women) and many more. Go to your appointment and the doctor will explain everything. If you had anything serious, he would probably squeeze you in A LOT SOONER. So look at this as a good news. If it were real serious they would make room for you to see the doctor today! Don't worry The ct scan might have shown a shadow for many reasons........not necessarily because SOMETHING IS there and that is why they ordered additional exams like the ultrasound. It could also have been a cyst but nothing to worry about since your doctor told you the ultrasound was ok. The best thing to do is to trust your doctor for now. In my line of work I've seen that certain examinations are not always accurate such as the CT scans. Try not to worry too much and good luck. well, he probably just wants to bill the insurance for the visit! Seriously, i know how you feel, i always get worked up about these things. but if he said the ultrasound was normal, then I wouldnt worry about it. He wouldnt outright lie to you. it could be a cyst or a benign fibroid tumor. youre young. you will be ok! u could be pregnant ?? |
