CT Scanning result info. of mosaic pattern?

Hello, I would like to know if someone could give me simple words of what is Mosaic Attenuation Pattern noted from CT Scanning.

The website has a very complicated information and it does not expecify what is mosaic attenuation pattern.

can you please tell me in a way that is easy to undertand.

thank you

CT of the lungs normally shows a smooth appearance. When a person has either bad blood flow to areas of the lung or blockage of air flow through the small airways, the CT shows patchy darker and lighter regions. This patchy appearance is called "mosaic". There are a number of conditions which result in this appearance, the most common would be airway obstruction from an allergic type reaction (to things like mold or feathers).

hey i answered another one of your questions in another area, that was actually the same question, let me know if it helps you out at all.
