I wanna know if chf is dangerous?

well my name is saul i have dyspnea short of breath, and im not strong to do exercise. i wann know if chf is dangerous in the future or i could die having CHF

Sorry Saul, but it is very serious. CHF is short for congestive heart failure and in short, that means that your heart is not pumping the blood correctly - like the engine in your car misfiring. It causes you to feel up with increased fluid in your lower extremities and then lungs. You need consistent good medical treatment from a cardiologist- you will probably be on hypertensive medication as well as a diuretic- which is a pill to eliminate fluid in your system and depending on what the cardiac tests show- at least two - 3 heart medications..... People can live long and healthy lives with CHF as long as they follow the prescribed meds and fluid limitations..... good luck to you--- please see a GOOD CARDIOLOGIST and preferably in the biggest city near you.

this is a question that you should ask your doctor

chf is a progressive failure of the hearts ability to effectively pump blood...Congestive Heart Failure...this causes fluid to back up into the lungs causing the difficulty breathing or dyspnea...the problems surrounding CHF largely result from stagnant blood flow causing blood clots...these blood clots can cause heart attacks or strokes..The heart attack is what is dangerous to your life.

could be. talk to your doctor.

I don't know the answer to your question I am sorry, but the person to ask would be your doctor

yes CHF is life threatening. congestive heart failure occurs when the heart is unable to adequately pump blood. death occurs because the vital organs such as the brain, heart, kidneys or liver aren't getting blood flow. pulmonary edema also occurs which is what is causing your dyspnea, and respiratory insufficiency may also cause death. medical management may be adequate for some, but you might need a heart transplant.
