Weight gain and CFS? |
I have been diagnosed with CFS for about 5 months now and since then i have gained 30 pounds or more. It was a very inexpected weight gain and i feel that i haven't been doing anything to have that happen. I looked up and saw weight gain is accocieted with cfs. Any ideas how to help with my problem?? While weight gain is a symptom of chronic fatigue, it sounds like for you the weight gain came after the diagnosis, so in addition to looking at CFS as the culprit, you might also consider the emotional contribution that getting the diagnosis made. While there may have been some relief in finally knowing what's wrong, I wonder if it also wasn't pretty scary to find out that what's wrong is chronic and not easily treated. A support group might be really helpful: |
