Do X-rays, Cat scans, and MRI's have any long term negative health consequences?

Does all the radiation adversely afffect your body, for things like cancer, as you age?

MRI=magnetic resonance imaging. It doesn't use radiation.

As far as x-rays and CTs, unless you are getting them constantly, you have nothing to worry about. The amount you are exposed to is very minimal. Just make sure your reproductive organs are covered (unless the shield would interfere with the image).

Here's some more info: http://www.asrt.org/content/ThePublic/Ab...

FYI: The reason we "run for the hills" is because we are around it all day everyday.

Yes, there is a certain cancer type that pertains directly to exposure to xrays and other machinery.
Usually, the only people who have any issues with exposure-related cancer are those who work around these types of machines. Thankfully, they have protective equipment for them as well as exposure badges that turn colors if an excessive amount is noted.
If you're concerned about radiation, ask for a lead shield over every other part of your bady that isn't being rayed.

They can be bad if you get a thousand of them. But most people only get a few over the course of their life, and that's fine.

,They tell us they are safe, one has to wonder though, why they run tor the hills while we,re having the scans. just kidding I,m going for my third bone scan in two weeks. I'm not worried' my trust is in the Lord.
God bless.
