Are CAT scans dangerous?

I hear that they put a dye into your veins. I already have headaches and allergies to many things so I'm worried that I might have an allergic reaction.to the dye and elevated blood pressure from the tension of the procedure.

CT scans are very safe. It is the equivalent radiation of getting several XRays at once, but XRays wont harm you unless you are getting a lot of exposure over long periods of time (like if you are an XRay technician and you don't protect yourself from exposure).

they are not , they are more safe than X-RAY!
