Cat Scan Question? |
I recently did a cat scan without contrast and it showed liver enlargement. I then did another cat scan and that showed normal. Then I did a songoram and it showed liver enlargement. Liver tests showed normal. Enzymes slightly elevevated. I just wanted to know if anyone knows if the cast scan was not done right then things can be overlooked by the radiologist and that is why the second cat scan didn't show liver enlargement? I read somewhere that if you breath at the wrong time or cough while having the cat scan it can mess things up. That's CT scan which stands for computerized tomography sometimes referred to as a "cat" scan. It works by taking views of the body in slices down through and is very detailed. It isn't just a view of say the liver. You need to discuss these findings and what they may mean in your particular case with the physician that ordered the test in the first place. |
