Pain and burning sanction on thigh(above knee cap & rt. side)area 3"x9".Engieograpgy on 26march and cabg 3Apr

from date of engieography a burning senection and high pain started in my thigh. as all are busy in management of CABG and solving cardiac problem this issue is ignored. whether its normal in my case or something serious?

Have the doctor run some test. Make sure your doctor is informed by a phone call at least.

Whole body or local MRI scan may throw some light.

It may be side effect of the other condition that you have.

It is a circulatory problem. Chances are that, that area was not getting circulation for a while and the blockage shifted and you are getting the circulation all of a sudden, pain is a sign of deprived circulation.

u might be having inflammation of the veins i.e thrombophlebhitis, apply THROMBOPHOB ointment three times daily for a week.

It might be nothing or on the other hand it may be related to the site of IV cannulation (the pipe inserted in your groin for the angiogram), alternatively it may even be reactivation of herpes.
In either case you should keep a watch for any redness, tenderness, warmth, spots or crops arising in the skin and point out this issue to your doctor

hope this helps

From Milind you have become MS now.It may be the reaction of anaesthesia. When they do the angiogram, they have to insert a die from your thigh under anaesthesia. Post your CABG, you have asked almost 8 to 10 questions related to your CABG. You have undergone such a sensitive and life saving surgery by paying huge amount, it is the responsibility of the doctors to take care of the post surgery needs of a patient. The doctor who has operated you knows your anatomy better than we the yahoo group. Are you not taking some risk by asking these questions in this platform? Make a list of all your doubts and go back to the doctor and get them answered. Do not do any self medication which may turn out fatal for you.
