C-SECTION - Vaginal Cramping and clear discharge!? |
Happy New Year to all!!! Your body is most likely just trying to get itself back to as normal as it can. Muscles & skin are continuing to repair themselves. Teh discharge you are experiencing is normal & is most likely related to Breastfeeding. your incision my feel tingly, itchy or burning for quite some time as the severed nerves try to regrow themselves. You may never have complete sensation in that area but it should get better over time. If the abd. cramps worsen then see a Dr. And you may not get your period until after you stop breastfeeding. Bf'ing is pretty protective as birth control for the first 6 months, but is not an absolute. After that you may want to consider another form. The mini pill (progestin only) won't reduce milk production like the combo pills can, but it allows conception but not implantation, so just some things to think about if you are pro-life. Sorry if TMI, but jsut wanted to give you some info. Hope its helpful. Good Luck. I have had 2 c-sections, 1 was 5 years ago and 1 was 19 months ago. I breastfed with my second and almost always got cramping during and after the feeding. My incision site cramped randomly for about 2 months afterward, and then had a numbness to and around it for at least 8 or so months afterward. And it tingled, which made it itch sometimes. I also had a clear discharge for a couple of months after the c-sections, I think it just takes your body a while to get rid of all that stuff : ) |
