Laparoscopy&exploring c-section scar??

I had a laparoscopy last week
and my doctor reopened my c-section scar
to examine whats been causing me problems
anyway, now the right side of my c-section scar is hard like a rock
ill be seeing the doc on tuesday, but i am worried
does anyone have any ideas as to what would make it hard like that,it got hard 4 days after the surgery and its been hard for 7 days now??

also, does reopening a c-section scar weaken your uterus?
it was my first baby and i really want to have atleast one more,so my baby will have a sibling??

thats the reason my doc did all this in the first place, but im worried my body is not recovering properly,or my uterus,or whatever it is that is located on the right side of scar!!!!!

Awww thanks janice

I'm not sure why it is hard, it may just be part of the healing process. You probably have scar tissue from the previous surgery. I would ask your doctor at your appointment or sooner if you are concerned.

Make sure you don't have any symptoms of infection: redness around the surgical site, fever, increased pain, yellow/green drainage.

Also, this surgery will not weaken your uterus. Your surgeon just used the incision to cut through your skin and muscle to prevent you from having additional scars. Your uterus is a separate organ that doctors only cut if they deliver a baby or if they are doing a surgery on your uterus (you said you had an exploratory surgery, this does not normally include cutting into the uterus).

Also, many people have multiple C-sections without a problem, so I would not be concerned about having another child.
