How come my c-section scar itch's after 5 years?

i had a c-section 5 years ago and one 1 year before that, still after 5 years of healing, i am still numb at the site of the c-section and it itch's like crazy all the time, WHY??????? please someone help me.

I do not know exactly why.. but this is my assumption..

I have a scar on my leg that i needed 9 stitches for back when i was 14... I am 30 now.. mine still is itchy.. I am guessing it does that because the skin and tissue and the damage done inside as well keeps rebuilding almost like it may be trying to fully heel itself.. Plus it has to deal with age issues on skin and also the fact that you may be growing or shrinking in ways.. Mine isn't always itchy but it does itch from time to time.. and sometimes gets red.. and goofy.. but for the most part.. i blob on lotion and it seems to feel a little bit better.. If it is really bothersome for you maybe bring it up with your doctor.. maybe they would be able to suggest something or give a reason..

That sounds like phantom pains to me. Nerves were cut in the process, and they sometimes regain limited feeling, just not the same as before.

its one of those things...i had a surgery on my elbow 25 yrs ago and it itches from time to time

I had my kidney removed when i was 2 that was 23 years ago and im still itching its normal i wouldnt worry about it to much but if it gets to the point where you cant stand it ask your doctor to recamend some sorte of ointment that can help sooth the itch
