C Section Scar?

It's been 8 years since the birth of my last child. My c section scar goes from inner hip to inner hip. Now it should in all reality only be about an inch long and in the hair line. Mine is above hair line. I'm also one out of ten women who do not heal proplerly. My question is this: Has anyone else had the same problem and if you have did you get it fixed? Or if there is any plastic surgery buffs out there: Can you get it fixed?

Julius C your comment is not appreciated. Don't be a d**k

You could get a tummy tuck, but if you tend to scar easily, that would just be a different scar line.

An inch long is not realistic, I'm pretty sure something in the 5-7 inch range is normal, so you're not as far out of the park as you seem to think.

If the scarring is very bumpy, you could look into microdermabrasion which is supposed to smooth out scars. I don't know a lot about it, but that might be something to investigate.

Rest assured that a c-section scar is NOT a big turn off to men. But I recognize that it is (I assume) about you and how you feel about your own body.

mine is obviously 5-8 inches long, I had 3 csections. I havent gotten it fixed, it doesn't bother me that much, thats where my babies came from :)

My c-section scar is not 1 inch. It's more like 4 inches.

The average length of the scarring (according to my Dr.) is only supposed to be long enough to accomodate the circumfrence of the head. If it was a medical oops your insurance will cover correcting the mistake, I have a friend who had a surgery as a child that caused her stomach to take on an awkward shape by her belly button (like a butt crack) This made her very self consious as she aged and recently her mother was granted coverage by her insurance to fix it as it was a medical procedure that was later on done in a different way.
I would call my insurance company and see what they say, but a tummy tuck would be your best bet and the scar from that would be in your hair line and a whole lot smaller.
