Post c-section question -- it hurts!!?

i had a c-section a few days ago and i wasn't able to pick to pick up my prescribed pain reliever (tylenol 3) as the pharmacy was/is closed.

there any other medication i can buy at the store and can take for the meantime until the pharmacy opens????

the pain is KILLING ME!!!!!!

Find a 24-hour pharmacy. Many Walgreens and CVS are open 24 hours. Just look in the phone book. You can try taking regular Tylenol but I doubt that will help very much. If you do that, though, you have to wait 4 hours before taking your Tylenol 3 once you get them. If you can't control your pain, go to the ER or urgent care.

Congrats on the baby!!!!
If you're nursing, you can take Tylenol. If you're not nursing, try Advil, Aleve, etc. Advil, Aleve will also help with the cramps that occur after giving birth.
Best advice: Take it easy!!!!! Seriously, sit on the couch and don't move. Take things very slowly. Rest when the baby rest.
You've been thru major surgery and have given birth- you're body has been thru a lot. Time to kick back and relax- as much as you can.

I know the pain your going through....i had a c section and i hated it. It hurt for a good month for me. If you don't have any pain meds, i would just take some tylenol or ibuprofen (advil) i would take 800 mg for ibuprofen for the pain...it'll also help with your flow.

good luck hope it helps

See if you have a local pharmacy that is a 24/7..if not..which would be a little strange unless you live in a bad part of town or a very small town. But if not then you can get Tylenol for Arthritis ...this is the strongest stuff you can use..it's 750mg and take no more than 2..if the pain is still pretty bad try to take some IB profin...that can help. Tylenol is very bad on stomachs and liver so do not take a lot at one time. And if your on line you should look up a 24/7 pharmacy is around..if not you got about three hours till they open up if your on the east coast.
I am a RN so this is your best bet...if the pain is REALLY BAD>..like your being opened up,,,THEN GET TO THE HOSPITAL>.you might have torn some stitches.
