Bleeding after c - section?

i was just wondering if anyone had a bout of severe bleeding after their c-section. i only actually bled for about a week, then it stopped, but just yesterday i started bleeding all of a sudden and went through three overnight maxi pads within 4 hours, then it slowed and stopped. it was so bad i overflowed the pad, i guess, i bled through my underwear and pants, it was so embarassing. there hasnt been any more heavy bleeding, just the brown kind of discharge. anyways i was just wondering if anybody else had that happen. if you dont mind could anyone tell me something?

You can bleed for up to 4 weeks or longer after you've had a c-section, and if you're overexerting yourself, it's likely that you will bleed heavier. As long as you're not experiencing pain and the bleeding has slowed down, I wouldn't worry. Remember, if you start to feel faint or tired, take a break. Hope your recovery is speedy!

Totally Normal. Your first few periods are going to really heavy so if you can get out to get some overnight pads, you should.

If you were doing any heavy lifting or too much physical activity, it will make your flow heavier until the c-section heals. If it happens again, you need to contact your doctor. It may be something serious.
