Whats a c-section (three part question)? |
i know the basics of a c-section but i'm a little sceatchy on the major details Cesarean section is a delivery of a baby through an incision (cut) on the lower abdominal wall and the uterus. The transverse, or horizontal incision (also known as the 鈥渂ikini cut鈥?, runs across the pubic hair line. After making the first incision, the obstetrician usually makes a horizontal incision on the lower part of the uterus. The obstetrician then gently removes the baby and the placenta from the uterus. The incision in the mother鈥檚 uterus is then tightly sutured, and the abdomen is closed in the same manner that is used for any other operation. C-section, you get cut open from above your belly button to the frontal groin area so the baby can be removed. ok, c-section is when you dont give vaginal birth to the baby, but instead the cut your stomach/uterus open and get the baby out theat way. Then they sew you up. 1. a C-section is called a caeserian section. It means that instead of a natural spontaneous delivery where the mother gives birth via the birth canal or vaginal canal, doctors make an incision in her lower abdomen (either longitudinal or the more popular one, the transverse or bikini cut)down to her uterus so the baby can be delivered. PART 1:Its major abdominal surgery so its riskier than a vaginal delivery because women that have them have longer recovery times, run the risk of blood clots, and infection. Not to mention with every c-section you run the risk of getting placenta prevara and placenta accreta. Its just where the dr makes an incision in your abdomen and uterus to take out the baby. sometimes they make the incision up and down but sometimes they go across with the incision. You will have an epidural or something else to make you numb from the chest down. |
