Is prolonged diarrhea normal after a c-section? |
I had a c-section in january of this year and ever since have had chronic diarrhea? Could it be from the c-section-am I the only one with this problem? My guess is that your diarrhea has more to do with your hospital stay than it does with the c-section. You probably got something like c-diff during your stay. It's a very common infection in hospitals. Go to your doctor. They should have a stool sample tested. I'm a nurse and this is a serious problem, see a doctor. You can dehydrate which isn't good. Your body is losing the fluids it needs. Our body is made up of 90% water, believe me you need fluids. I would drink water and schedule an appointment, something is wrong. I never hear of a c-section causing diarrhea but I guess anything is possible. You shoudl probably talk to your doctor about the problem though. You may have picked up a bug that you haven't gotten rid of yet. |

Uh ya. Just because you had a C-section doesn't mean you can't exercise ever again. Everything sounds a lot like my c-section, except for the fever part. A low grade fever really needs to get checked out because the risk of infection. I lost sensation to pee, ... I agree.
