Gaining weight after having a gastric bypass surgery? |
I had a gastric bypass surgery done at the age of 18, three years ago. I got pregnant a year ago, and gave birth two months ago. I weighed 457 lbs. before the surgery, and got down to 190 lbs. I gained up to 235 before pregnancy, and am now 262. This is totally unacceptable, and I'm in the process of putting a stop to it. Aside from diet and exercise, I was also thinking about taking Phentermine, a presciption weight loss drug. Has anyone else had issues gaining weight after a gastric bypass? If so, how did you lose this weight? Are there any support groups/info forums on losing GAINED weight after your gastric bypass? First off, congratulations on losing the weight in the first place. It must have been a hard decision, and an even harder task to complete. Great post! I totally understand how you feel. I'm also trying to lose weight and I found this great product which is working for me (it's all 100% natural - a colon cleanse that was really gentle on my body. I feel so good and I lost 15 pounds). You can check the website at One thing that will help you lose weight: a colon cleanse. I was one of those who did not believe in them until I tried it. And I tried a few until I found a great one that works (its all natural too! - it's just pills, but you'll detox, lose weight, and fell much, much better). You can go to Hi, |
