I have bursitis in the left hip any help curing it?

I have bursitis in the left hip, it causes numbness in the foot area, is this normal, also I am working 40 hrs. per week standing on concrete floor. How do you get this problem better, it has been a month now of pain.

OMG! I have bursitis in MY left hip too. My left foot is unable to flex in the toes fully. My left thigh is numb on the top from hip to knee but not sure, it could be Peripheral Neuropathy from Diabetes, or the 3 disc herniations in my back. Or, the avascular necrosis in both my hips :(

You should certainly think about a cortisone shot. I just had my second in five years and it makes SUCH a huge difference. It goes in real deep and will hurt for about a week afterwards, at least it does with me. HOWEVER, it can give you immense pain relief as it reduces inflammation [which is all bursitis is]. Some people never have it come back again! And shots can last up to a year. If it's done right. Shots like this should ALWAYS be performed by an orthopedic surgeon, or a neurologist. It is not that big a deal they do it all the time. Otherwise, NSAIDS do not work etc. Have to go to the source.

Standing is the WORST activity for it. Especially on a concrete floor.

Go to the doctor and get a shot in the hip, it only hurts for a little while but the hip is better for awhile.
