Best exercise for hip bursitis? |
Hi there.... I have bilateral trochanteric bursitis (more prominent in the left hip) that i seemed to develop after losing 130lbs (go figure!) I love to walk! I wanted to buy a treadmill but wondered if there was something better that was easier on the hips (or is a treadmill a good idea...maybe easier on the hips than the pavement) eliptical would be good, also swimming and yoga I prefer the low impact nature of an elliptical stepper. Go to Sears or a sporting goods store and try one out. I mean, really try it for like 10 or 15 min to see if it's for you. They are about as expensive as treadmills, and have a range of features and prices. Find one that works best for you. Congrats on the huge weight loss! |
