Can bursitis progress from a joint to additional joints?

Can bursitis progress from a joint to additional joints?

Bursitis is not a condition that moves from one area of the body to another by transmission from one site to another. It is possible to have bursitis in many differrent joints at different times, etc. It is not a condition that "spreads" from one part of the body to another.

No, if it spreads it wasn't bursitis to begin.
