Has anyone had bursitis and if so how did you fix it ?

They sell an over the counter strap with pad that wraps around your forearm near the elbow (it has a velcro fastener). My doctor recommended it. I thought, "This is pathetic...it's not gonna work" but it did ease the pain during repetitive movements and it DID help... and it was only about $5. What do ya have to lose?

cant fix it lots of rest of the injured area and lots of ibuprofen and it will quit hurting but it is fluid sacks that get inflamed around a muscle or ligament and it gets very sore and tender and if u can immoblize it for a short period of time but just gradually keep it moving so it doesnt stiffen up...

I have had it, and you cannot fix it unless you have to have surgery for something. You do not say where the bursitis is - shoulder, elbow, knee, hip....that would be helpful. The thing that helps first is ice - use a bag of frozen peas for 20 minutes three times a day. If that doesn't help then you can go to an orthopedist and get an MRI, or maybe he give you a cortisone shot. The shots hurt a bit, but after that you might feel relief for four to six weeks.
