Oil burns treatment? |
Well, I burnt my forearm with a splash of hot oil the other day (2 days ago) in the kitchen and now i have 5 distinct "burn" marks; where the oil droplets landed Leave the skin where it is; it'll allow healthy skin to heal in underneath. Clean and dry, uncovered. All burns need to breath. Yes you should wash it, and, to keep from getting a scar, you could try an ointment. However ; the rule of thumb for any burn is to keep it clean, keep it dry and uncovered. The skin that is burned will come off, in the mean time, the new skin needs to be covered with the scab. Never pop a burn blister. when a burn is just received, wash it, dab on some antibiotic ointment, then cover it for a day or so. Then, let it dry and keep it clean |
