How do you treat burns?

I just burned my hand about 30 minutes ago and it still burns.I tried putting a cream for burns but that didn't work.Then i tried putting it in cold water it worked but my mom said not to do that, because it will make it worse, and i tried ice.

Water - water - water - water - water.

Cold running water drops the temperature of the burn wound and prevents further damage to internal tissues.

Do not cover it except for thin loose cotton bandage.

Once the burning stops and you see the scars, use an aloe cream like Aloederm or directly apply aloe juice on the affected part to remove the scars.

Nothing will make it go away, ice will sooth it. Try some Aloe Vera. A lot is just waiting/

Cool water is the best for small burns. If that doesn't work see a doctor.

get aloe gel. natural is the best, it's nature's remedy

100% aloe vera gel. I once spilled a pot of boiling soup on myself and I swear that stuff saved me from a trip to the emergency room. I slathered it all over the burns every half hour. They started turning red and I just knew they were going to form welts, but I kept slathering. When I awoke the next morning, there were no marks at all on my body! I was astounded! Now, I always keep a bottle of 100% aloe vera gel by my stove for burns. You can get it at any drugstore.

my dads a doctor an when i burned my fingers he said to wrap it in a plastic bag full of ice

get some neosporin now and don't put a band-aid until you see your skin trying to come back okay good luck.

it might be a 2nd degree burn if it feels like its on fire while not on water or cold air.. u might need to goto emergency room.. i had one from an automotive steam burn. you should have your mom call a doctor to make sure

After the burn you should've covered it with toothpaste. It will leave a mark but its better that the pain right? It's not too late go and cover it with toothpaste ask if you need anything else. take care

You will just have to deal with the pain,atleast for a few days, depending on how bad it is. If it has blistered up by now, you probably need a doctor. Good luck. After the skin breaks, be careful of infection. Neosporin and band-aids will be good to have then.

Water like room temp water is good if it's minor burn..
then try put on some homeoplasmin, or anything pain killer with viscous substance to put around..

PACK ICE ON IT KEEP IT THERE, WHEN YOU REMOVE THE ICE IF IT BURNS PUT ICE BACK ON AND KEEP PUTTING IT ON UNTIL WHEN YOU REMOVE ICE IT DON'T GO BACK TO BURNING , BY NOW IT WILL TAKE A WHILE , WHEN YOU FIRST DID IT , IT WOULD NOT HAVE TAKEN AS LONG . ON THIS ONE YOUR MOM IS DEAD WRONG , I HAVE USED IT THIS WAY ON 3 RD DEGREE BURNS FROM STEAM OUT OF A RADIATOR ON A CAR , SKIN DIDN'T PEAL FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS
