Strep throat burns when I eat or drink why?, do I have a rash in my throat? when will it stop burning?

please help its driving me crazy to eat or drink I don't know why it burns

but no matter what I eat or drink it still burns why does it burn ?when will this stop ?

I assume you have started taking antibiotics. The antibiotics should cure the symptoms of strep throat in a couple days but be sure to take the rest of the medicine as prescribed so it won't come back again. You can take a Tylenol for the throat pain. Or whatever pain medicine you like.

It hurts since the inside of your throat is inflamed. I have had it at least 30 times no joke until i got my tonsells out. It will stop burning when you get better. I know it hurts to eat and is very painful at times but you have to do it.

You need to see a physician. Strep throat is an infection. It is irritated and inflammed that is why it burns. Try drinking and eating things that are room temp, and avoid spicy foods

Your throat is inflamed and raw so anything touching it will hurt. See if your doctor can prescribe Lidocaine Viscous - it's a gargle that will numb your mucous membranes. It should get you through the rough period until your throat heals. You can also go to your local pharmacy and ask if there is an over the counter numbing agent, in a spray or lozenge form that you can use before meals.

Did you have a throat culture, call your doctor about continuing symptoms.

When I had the privilege of having Strep throat

Suck on cough drops,stick to cool easy to chew foods and liquids. It doesn't sound like you have been to a doctor, yet. Antibiotics will help the pain,please don't try to diagnose yourself. Let the doctor do that. Over use of ABTs [as well as not taking all of med] can and do cause other problems.
