How can I cure my bunions without surgery? |
yesterday, after a run, i noticed my foot hurting and then this moring and i asked my mom what it was and she told me. i always thought my feet were supposed to look that way when i was little, but i was wrong. i had a run today and my gym teacher said to take it easy so i was powerwalking instead of running, and 30 sec. after starting, the pain came back. i showed my friends in the locker room and they said that it didn't look right. i really don't want to get surgery to fix this b/c i dance and thats my passion. what are some other ways to help fix the bunions on my feet??? I was 13 when I had my first bunion surgery and it has been by far the best thing I have done. It might not hurt now, but eventually the pain will get unbearable. I went through the stage of buying bigger shoes and what not and eventually I just had the surgery. There are special things you can wear on your foot to slow the progression, but eventually you will probably have to have it surgically corrected unless you can find shoes that fit...which become harder and harder to do. You should go to a podiatrist though and talk about options to delay surgery if you want. But if the doctors says you need it def. do it because its only going to get worse. As far as I know, there aren't any ways to fix a bunion besides surgery. Bunions are caused by the big toe growing at an angle instead of straight, so you would need a doctor to surgically correct that. If you're having pain with them now, then chances are they're going to get worse with time, and you will have to have them corrected. You should see a podiatrist to see what his/her recommendation would be. You can't 'fix' bunions. You can only have them removed surgically. It isn't pleasant but you can survive the surgery. Many people that are into sports have them, dancers too! |
