Pls help - inflamed bunions!!!?

hi my dad has got a bad case of inflammed bunions.... and he's diabetic.... the skin there has broken and has a sort of wound also..
any remedies herbal or otherwise.. over the counter ointments?
is surgery necessary? and is it safe?

See a doctor. This is too important to leave up to the internet. This could be life threatening. There are plenty of treatment methods for diabetes and wounds. It's common. Forget the ***** herbs and take him to a real doctor before he develops an infection that kills him. This is serious business. What the hell cheap *** over the counter miracle do you expect to find?

Diabetics make up 10% of the US population - and yet they account for >90% of the foot and leg amputations.

This is EXTREMELY SERIOUS.

Any delay could have dire consequences.

I am so sorry to be blunt (forgive me) - but these situations can move from "not so bad" to "absolutely frightening" quickly.

It could be that the damage done by the bunions has caused gout. There is anti inflamitories you can get prescribed. But, the best thing he could do is to remove any kind of soda, alcohol, or sweet drinks from his diet and drink more bottled water and green tea. Green tea works as an anti-oxidant that removes poisons from your system, like those that cause gout conditions.
