People who only had surgery on theri foot/bunions?

ok, i have to get surgery on my right foot.. onm my bunion to get corrected and im absolutely TERRIFIED!!! i have to get it this summer and im sooo scared... is it scary? and how does it feel afterwards? my sister had to get it a year or two ago and she said it wasn't that bad... but shes really tough and im NOT! i mean, a shot isnt so bad but i mean SURGERY? NOOOOOO!!!! what was it like? and its an outpatient surgery

It is really not a big deal. I had the same surgery years ago, it may be outpatient now, not sure. I had a cast on for about 2 weeks, when I had it down. Had no problems at all. The only thing I found is that the scar is slightly sensitive if hit or banged, but that's it. Go for it, it's no big deal, your sister is right

just had bunion surgery was terrified but it went well. they gave me the anesthesia i was out like a light the next thing i knew they were waking me up saying it was over. I have a cast and the foot gauze I have a walking boot and I'm on pain meds. Report It

not as bad as I thougt it would be, haven't felt any real pain, just a little throbbing, and doctor said it should only get better. bad part about it is i can't get it wet and i have to sponge bathe and I'm a very active person and all this sitting around is boring lol Report It

I had bunion surgery on BOTH feet three days ago (a bi-lateral Mitchell's Osteotomy.)....Overall it's been ok - bearable. There has been some pain - esp. with the swelling - but just take your meds and it will be fine. Report It

it's worth it - just do it and you will be glad later. they knock you out and you don't know anything! Report It

If anyone is thinking about this surgery and wants an honest, detailed account of what I went through, feel free to write me and I will talk you through it. I was so scared to get it done, and now three days have past and all really is ok. It's not that bad at all! Report It

I beleive it was the new line of gold colored rims that were introduced then..Who cares..Vote 4 me $$$$$.
