I have 2 painful bunions can i get incapacity benefit for this problem?

i have heard that the operation to remove thes can be dangerous and lead to infections and when removed can take you completley off your feet. i am sorry to hear adam h about your injury but mine is also genuine and not just a frickin bunion i have them on both feet and sometimes find walking and even standing painful

i work in a podiatrist office and it sounds like you have some misinformation regarding bunions. i have a great web site for you to go to, myfootshop.com. there are great informative articles and product to help you out if surgery is not an option. sometimes it is as simple as the type of shoe you wear. another option at the site is a discussion forum where you can ask questions and post them for people in the same position as you. give it a shot, i think you'll find it very helpful to you. you can use the source as a direct link to the articles. good luck!

I sure hope not. Get them removed.

A basic question: Where do you live and work?

Do you think every state and country have identical disability/worker's compensation laws?

Only if you've tried a metical solution and it doesn't work. And the doctor has to say that you are unable to ever work with this. Bunions can be removed surgically.

no , but you can get the award for most pathetic question , people have real disabilities in this world and people like you trying to milk benifits for a frikkin bunion is why a guy like me that smashed three bones in my back gets hassled when I file a claim .............

probably not but you could get surgery for them, and maybe get paid while taking time off for recovery,

You might get it temporarily until you are able to get surgery on it. Well in the UK you might.
Sadly my problem is inoperable so I have to remain on incapacity benefit until such time I can get good pain management in action or I find a job I am able to do.
