Why do women develope bunions more that men.? |
And it is not always because they wear high heal shoes, feet problems that effect the knees and shoulders are for some strange reason more common in woman than men. I was going to say shoes but you shot that theory down. It could be bone structure. In general men have bones that are more dense than women's. Also, across the board shoes for men are more comfortable than women. I think women are more concerned about how their shoes look than comfort. But more than any I think it goes back to what I said above about bone density. Calcium deficiency is more common in women than men too! I am not saying men are stronger than women because that is not always the case. I know some of these things from a nutrition class I had in culinary school. They wear tight uncomfortable shoes It's the shoes. I dont know if that is true because it is hereditary. If so, you only notice it because women get it corrected more often than men. The working women does cause of high heels and the increased pressure on that large joint of the metatarsal. Any time pressure is applyed consistently the friction causes the body to grow more bone to prevent damage to that joint, thus a bunion. Also, the shortening of the ligaments of the 2nd and 3rd metatarsal tighten to relieve the pain and pressure causeing all your toes to turn outward, I have one on right foot, and I am male....Also, it is genetically possible to have one. Being from bone growth, genes cause bone growth thus linking genetics to them as a possible cause too. Hello, |
