Bunion surgery+ risks? |
hi all, I am having my bunions removed this month and heard some horror stores of people having complications and having to have their large toe amputated. I am very worried about getting this done now, even though I am healthy. can anyone give me some pice of mind? I'm thinking of having this surgery real soon, and my Dr. reassures me if I stay off it, as he says so the bone can heal correctly, there should be miminal problems. The amputation concern is so very rare, when the bunion is left unattended to, is my understanding. Good luck to us both.. any surgery carries risks. look for the statistics. what percentage of people who had this surgery had complications. |
