Bunion care?

I'm 40 years old. My grandmother had terrible bunions. I've had bunions all my life but to no great extent. Now, the right one is quite sore and I'm thinking I probably need to start taking care of it. What do you recommend? I know surgery is an option but I don't believe I'm there yet.

You don't need surgery. Bunions can be healed by the right type of shoes, and maybe some custom made orthotics. I had lots of problems with my feet a while ago and I went to an orthotist that made me some orthotics. I went to a place in New York called Kidi Splint (www.kidisplint.com if your interested) that completely cured my feet. Very often health insurance will cover it too, it did for me. Good luck, and feel better.
