I have a bunion which only hurts slightly. Should I get it treated? |
I have a bunion on my right foot. It only hurts occasionally (mainly when I've been wearing unsuitable shoes), but I worry it will get worse. I also worry about my ability to do sport, particularly football, with a bunion. Is it worth undergoing a bunion procedure at this stage? Do bunions "get worse"? Yeah, bunions get worse. I'd try to get it sorted while it's young! K38 Thanks for adding that site to your answer it really helps. I know I din't post the question but thanks to you I found out more about bunions. I'm developing a bunion to but I think that it can be fix or at least slow it down. Thank yo again. Report It try acupuncture -- i to have a bunion, its still in the early stages, not noticeable whatsoever, only in my xray, also investing in orthodics may help Report It Are you Victoria Beckham?? If left untreated yes it will get worse :-) I would get it treated Definatley get it looked at! My father had them, said they didn't really hurt and ignored them. He had both big toes, knuckles replaced last summer, because he ignored the minor pain he felt. YES!! bunions get worse. i had a small one and had it removed before it got any worse than it already was. from your description, yours is like mine was. if you can afford it, i'd suggest nipping that problem in the bud as soon as you can. Get it treated as soon as possible. Because now it might be soft. get that checked, cuz it could get worse Any condition left untreated has the potential to get worse. However, you can help yourself by wearing flat, comfortable shoes, especially in this hot weather. Your feet go through enough as it is without being subjected to further abuse. see a chiropodist |
