Im 23 yrs old and im debating on having buinon surgery. I have two big bunions on both of my feet. I never, ever wore tight shoes growing up, I was bascially born with them for some reason i dont know why. They hurt and half the time im not even wearing shoes and they'll hurt for no apparent reason. And I cant even name how many times i couldnt buy a pair of shoes because of them. Is there anyone out there who had this surgery before? If so please let me know the pros and cons of it so I can make my final decision. Also, how bad was the pain and how long was your recovery time? Thanks in advance. I have had bunion surgery. I had one on my left foot(at my big toe) and one on my right foot. I had the one on my left foot removed about 4 years ago. I had to wear what they call a boot and be on crutches for about 3 weeks. It's no picnic but it's well worth it. I'm gonna have my other one removed soon, I wished I had already done it. They give you something for the pain, but I can't take any kind of pain medicine because it makes me sick, and I can't stand to be sick at my stomach. Just make sure you find a good Dr. Are these just like big growths on your feet or what? |
